Houses Guide: Building requirements, materials, costs, and bonuses
Primary tabs
Submitted by CastleVilleCrazy on Mon, 01/30/2012 - 23:42

For the materials, cost, requirements, and payout or bonus for all the houses in CastleVille, see the tables below. Houses are one of your main sources of income in CastleVille. Houses generate "taxes" in coins for you to collect, each time they become ready for harvest. Unlock more types of houses as you increase in level. Each type of house has a different cycle time and collection value to consider when deciding which houses to build in your kingdom. If you tend to login to play frequently throughout the day, you can raise a lot of income with houses that have a short cycle time, even if you're getting less money each time you collect. But if you don't play more often than once or twice per day, houses with a high tax value will be more profitable for you even with their longer cycle times, since you wouldn't be online to collect more often anyway. All houses require wood or wood planks and stone or stone blocks to build. Any additional building materials are noted below. Remember to place your houses on a courtyard to collect a 10% bonus in extra coins, in addition to the payout listed below.
Basic Houses in CastleVille
Basic or regular houses are the ones that are a permanent fixture of the game. They will always be in the market, and are available for coins.
| House Type | Payout (coins) | Time to Ready | Min. Level | Special Materials |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chateau | 600 | 4 hrs | Level 4 | 1 Coat of Arms |
| Cottage | 150 | 5 min | Level 9 | ---- |
| Farmhouse | 250 | 30 min | Level 19 | 3 Coats of Arms, 1 Hammer |
| Manor | 1000 | 8 hrs | Level 24 | 4 Spicy Cloves, 1 Bedding |
| Villa | 400 | 1 hr | Level 14 | 2 Jugs of Lamp Oil, 1 Bag of Nails |
Special and Limited Edition Houses in CastleVille
Limited Edition (L.E.) houses are the ones that come and go as part of special events, usually related to a holiday or a season or a special theme. They only appear in the market for a limited time, and are usually available for Crowns but not for coins. Once they disappear from the market there's no way to get them anymore, unless CastleVille brings them back again for another special event.
