Mia's "Cooking Appreciation" Quest Guide (Magic Beans)

This Quest Guide has all the information you need to get through the Cooking Appreciation quests easily and quickly.  Mia has some exciting new recipes in mind, but they require a mysterious crop, Magic Beans. Help Mia find the Magic Beans and make some delicious new foods for your Subjects (and get some fancy swag too)!  You will unlock the Magic Beans crop for your kingdom after Quest 2, and the Kitchen recipes for Surprise Cupcakes and Whoopie Cakes.  As always, remember that where it requires you to "have"  something you can prepare or collect it in advance.  But where it says "collect" or "harvest" something, any you prepare in advance does NOT count.  All quests give coins and XP as rewards; any additional rewards are listed in the quest guide below.

Quest 1

• Chop Trees 15 times in your Kingdom

• Fish 7 times in your Kingdom

• Tend Flowers 5 times in your Kingdom

Quest 2

• Sell 1 Cow

• Tend Plants and/or mine Rocks 10 times in Neighbors' Kingdoms

  • Careful not to destroy neighbors' special rocks, such as Gloom Rocks or frozen rocks

• Have 5 Wash Basins (post to friends)

Quest 3

• Harvest 10 Magic Beans (a 10 hour crop)

  • Tip: You'll need 16 Magic Beans to make the 4 Surprise Cupcakes, so plant 16 not just 10

• Craft 4 Batter

  • 15 minutes; 2 Butter, 2 Eggs, 2 Sugar, 1 Flour

• Craft 4 Surprise Cupcake

  • 2.5 hours; 4 Magic Beans, 3 Butter, 2 Eggs, 2 Honey

Quest 4

• Craft 1 Brick Oven

  • 3 hours; 2 Stone Blocks, 2 Wood Planks, 5 Reputation

• Tend Neighbors' Kitchens 4 times (accelerate or collect)

• Craft 6 Whoopie Cakes (in Kitchen)

  • 2.5 hours; 4 Magic Beans, 2 Butter, 3 Spicy Cloves, 6 Honey

Reward: Bread Stand decoration

Quest 5

• Have 3 Rolling Pins (Post to friends)

• Craft 2 Fishing Bait

  • 14 minutes; 1 Gloom Rat Tail, 3 Honey, 1 Alchemist Powder

• Craft 3 Grape Juice

  • 1.5 hours, 10 Grapes, 5 Water

Quest 6

• Feed 10 Sheep in Neighbors' Kingdoms

• Collect 10 Wool

• Place 5 Nature decorations

Quest 7

• Tend the Duke's (or anyone's) Bakery

• Craft 4 things in the Kitchen

• Have 3 Fine Wire (Post to friends)

Quest 8

• Have 7 Love Letters (Post to friends)

• Collect 10 Pails of Water

• Craft 1 Wood Club

  • 10 minutes; 5 Wood, 1 Alchemist Powder

Quest 9

• Collect 15 Ogre's Belches

  • Tip: Collect these in neighbors' kingdoms to save energy

• Have 15 Honey

Quest 10

• Have 10 Milk Bottles

• Have 1 Batter

• Bake 7 Plain Cupcakes (unlocked upon the completion of quest 5 of Mia's Get Cooking quest)

  • 2 hours; 1 Batter, 1 Sprinkles
