Alastair's "No Place Like Throne" Quest Guide

Alastair senses a powerful artifact in the Gloom nearby, but Hazel has frozen it with icy spells.  Expand your kingdom to discover Faugrimm's Frozen Throne and unlock its hidden powers.  Could it have something to do with Unicorns, perhaps?  And maybe some Gifts?  Read this quick guide to find out. 

Hazel has stolen Faugrimm's Throne and taken icy revenge upon it, Alistair tells you. If you could unfreeze it, you could access its vast magical powers!  Convince Hazel to teach you more Spirit Magic so you can thaw out the Frozen Throne.  You can earn some fun decorations along the way, and get a new Icy Crown for your avatar to wear!  This quest is available after you progress in Hazel's Heartbreak Quest 2.

"No Place Like Throne" Quest Guide

Quest 1: Hath No Fury

Quest tasks  

• Tend 10 Sheep (in your kingdom)
• Collect 3 Sugar Cubes (found by clicking the Post to Friends button in the quest window or found on the Newsfeed)
• Explore The Gloom (to the northeast, near where George was found)

Quest rewards

• 2500 Coins
• 50 XP
• 3 Ice Fences

Quest 2: Cold as Ice

Quest tasks  

• Prepare The Fire Spirit Spell (Fireheart)
• Melt 5 Ice Brambles & Collect Your first Fire Essences
• Remove the First Layer Of Ice From the Frozen Throne

Fireheart Spell Crafting Recipe

• 4 Yellow Feather
  • Ask friends, or find by tending Peacocks.  A Peacock now may drop Yellow Feathers, in addition to the usual Red and Blue feathers.
• 4 Wool
• 1 Hot Coal (post to friends)
• 1 Gloom Wolf Hair

Defrost Faugrim's Throne: Stage 1 Materials

• 2 Ice Picks
• 4 Iron Bars
• 5 Ice Scraper (post to friends)
• 5 Fire Essence
  • get these by using the Fireheart spell

Quest rewards

• 3250 Coins
• 65 XP
• 1 Magic Ice Crucible (decoration)

Quest 3: A Brambling Man

Quest tasks

• Melt 8 Ice Brambles
  • Cast a Fireheart Spell to melt each icy bramble
• Remove the Second Layer Of Ice From the Ice-Locked Throne
• Search For More Ice Brambles In The Nearby Gloom
  • Tip: Explore and expand your kingdom into the gloomed area to the east

Defrost Faugrim's Throne: Stage 2 Requirements

• 3 Ice Picks
• 5 Steel Bars
• 5 Crushed Ice (post to friends)
• 8 Fire Essence

Quest rewards

• 3250 Coins
• 65 XP
• 1 Hazel Crown (female costume piece)
• 1 Ice Crown (male costume piece)

Quest 4: Above the Thaw

Quest tasks

• Have 3 Rubies
• Have 12 Fire Essence
  • Cast the Fireheart spell 12 times to get these
• Remove the Final Layer Of Ice From the Throne

• 1 Master Ice Pick
• 6 Mortar
• 7 Conjuring Quill (post to friends)
• 12 Fire Essence

Quest 5: To Each Their Throne

Quest tasks

• Cast Frostmite 1 Time
• Craft 3 Horseshoes
• Cast The Unicorn's Gift Spell 2 Times
  • A Unicorn Spirit will appear briefly, and give you some gifts (see below)

• 1 Fireheart Spell
• 1 Frostmite Spell
• 4 Rainbow Jar (post to friends)
• 1 Gloom Rat Tail
