Land's End - "A Tale of Two Pirates" Quest Guide

Sonja received a call for help from her old first mate, Jacques, to help with some trapped treasure! Help out Jacques in Land's End, a special island, and get some awesome rewards while you're at it!

The island called "Land's End" appears in your neighbor bar as a "fake" neighbor kingdom that you can click to visit.  Performing actions in Land's End uses "Island Energy", which is separate from your regular Energy pool.  Your Island Energy regenerates much more slowly than regular energy, so use it carefully.  The only way to get extra Island Energy is with Creamy Clam Chowder, which you can craft in your home Kitchen and then use on the island in the Energy Distiller.

Note: This quest line is not timed, however, once it is completed, the option to visit Land's End will go away 5 days after you finish this Pirate's Tale quest line and receive the "Thar Be Treasure" epilogue quest.

Tips

• After you complete Quest 2, don't forget to place the Tidal Pool reward in your Kingdom.  Buy a second one from the Market if you can spare the Coins.
• Fish from your Tidal Pools in your home Kingdom to collect Clams and Pearls, so you don't have to spend Island Energy to find them.
• Craft Creamy Clam Chowder in your kitchen whenever you've collected enough Clams. Recipe:
  • 1.1 Hours
  • 6 Clams
  • 6 Bottles of Milk
  • 6 Eggs
  • 10 Carrots
• Stock up on Carrots for making the clam chowder.
• You'll need to have 3 Boom Sticks for Quest 12
• You can collect Salvaged Wood and Salvaged Metal by tending just about anything on Land's End - flowers, rocks, grass, coffee plants, and palm trees - but not from Tidal Pools.

Note that when you finish all the requirements for each one, the quest might not automatically complete.  If this happens, just travel home and then back to the island.  The quest should complete when you arrive.

Quest 1: To Land's End

  • Tip: You cannot actually find Salvaged Metal or Wood in Tidal Pools, but fish there anyway for quest credit.
• Search 3 Tropical Flowers for Salvaged Metal and Wood

FAQ

Q: Why can't I shut down the Totem?
A: Once you've destroyed the Hubs surrounding the Totem, you'll be able to click on the Totem to shut it down.

Q: Is the Pirate's quest line timed?
A: This quest line is not timed, however, once it is completed, the option to visit Land's End will go away 5 days after you receive the Thar Be Treasure quest line.

Q: How do I gain more energy to use on Land's End?
A: This energy automatically regenerates, but while you're waiting, you can craft Creamy Clam Chowder in the Kitchen, and using Jacques' Distiller on Land's End, turn it into Land's End energy!

Q: How do I get the figurehead, mast, and sails to build the Pirate Ship? 
A: Some ship parts have gotten stuck in the gloom storm. Destroy the elemental hubs so that you can shut down the elemental totems and weaken the gloom storm in order to find the parts of the ship.

Q: Can I decorate Land’s End? 
A: No. Just like other kingdoms other than your own, you cannot decorate Land’s End.

Q: How do I get clams for Creamy Clam Chowder if I’m out of Land’s End energy? 
After you have completed quest 2 of Tale of Two Pirates, the Tidal Pool will be available in the market, so you can place one for your own kingdom!
